Isn't anything on the interenet inmediatly public domain? Of course not when there is money on charge but is not like the United States can take control of anything published, of course made in USA is another deal...

Exactly.  As I was telling my dad a couple of weeks ago, the electronic media industry is quickly growing into a militaristic juggernaut that monitors and controls people's everyday lives.  (My dad, of course, is in denial about the whole thing.)

But fortunately, there's hope, albeit a very small shard of hope.  The Free Software Foundation has been fighting since 1985 to keep the media industry from using computers to become "Big Brother," as George Orwell foretold in 1984.
