Can someone explain to me why this movie is going to be so awesome? Just by watching the trailer I have no idea what the fuck is going on. Reading the comic books or "graphic novels" is out of the question considering I can't stand reading them. So if someone could enlighten me that would be great.

it's just because Watchmen is recognised by lots of smart peopl as the best graphic novel ever. It's a very good story.

a few things to note, doesn't really sound like they have rorshach's speech patterns down, doctor manhattan sounds too human, they're calling themselves watchmen, which correct me if i'm wrong they never call themselves that in the book.


oh well the movie still looks like it will be good let's hope they don't compromise and we see all the nitty gritty shit that is rorschach.

actually, he never wanted anyone to make movies out of his comics for a long time, when watchmen was originally going to be made into a film by terry gilliam, terry went to see alan, and asked him how he would make watchmen, alan said, "I wouldn't"

then terry gilliam dropped out
