i don't know why you hate your mixer but iam not a big fan of software based sounds, the texture never seems to have a certain depth
you can achieve a sounds similair to this, but you will have to emulate the limitations of actual gear, which kinda seems to defeat the point of a digital creating space

also, live knob sliding won't feel the same when the knobs won't give resistance or feel, maybe this is not something required for the sounds you want to create though (guess not because you are talking about a midi controller
