Surgeons can reduce the size of the lesions but they never go away completely, they also keep growing so it's quite an unfortunate disease. Still, very fun to look at .

I dont know how it feels... I doubt the patients have sensitivity in the lesions but if they feel anything I bet it's not even near pleasant.
 
And they are caused by the human papilloma virus... I don't remember which serotype.
