Gang Garrison is a 2D platformer version of Team Fortress 2. It's fully multiplayer online. It has a dedicated server up all the time and there's almost always somebody playing. If there isn't they usually show up after hanging around the empty room for a while.

It's a really fun game. I highly suggest it. The only downside is (or maybe it's a good thing?) that it's being updated every few weeks and you have to download a new .exe for every version. There are also some glitches but they're not a big issue.
