WELL, YOU SEE PEPINO, the anime series "Death Note" primarily consists of elaborate mind games between "L," the young fellow with the kooky hair, and "Light," the gentleman in the suit.

Light is secretly a serial killer known as "Kira," and L suspects this, but can't prove it. They both exhibit genius level intellect, so their mind games often become convoluted attempts to trick each other, sometimes over long periods of time. They each must remain on their respective feet, and be able to swiftly decipher the other's  motivations and traps through inscrutable wordplay, deception, and subterfuge.

In the video, L tricks Light merely by calling out the name of his alter-ego, which Light, not thinking, responds to immediately.
The stark contrast between their normal exchanges and this one, as well as the two character's reactions (light flips out, and L makes shooty fingers and gun noises with his mouth) lends itself to a humor joke.

What I meant about anime faggots wasn't everyone who watches anime or enjoys it, I meant people gay enough to actually dress up like the    cartoon characters from the shows. I don't think that just because you watch anime you're gay, that isn't it. I actually like Death Note, but its just people that do that, I think they are homos.
