strawberry clock goes to university

If all goes well... I'll be entering newgrounds "promote ng on campus" competition.

Originally, that wasn't part of the plan, but I would love to win a cash prize in order to make back the money that i've spent on this project already. It's costing me a small fortune.

I'm creating a strawberryclock costume with chicken wire and expanding foam. I might cap it off with a layer of painted papier machet and a spray of laquer.



Picture one: building the endoskeleton in two pieces, which i later fitted together.

Picture two: a silhouette of me wearing the skeleton. (taken from inside)

Picture three: I began applying the expanding foam, in order to create a lightweight body that I can carve and paint.

Picture four: I cut the back off an old backpack, leaving just the straps. I cut the bottom of it into strips which I shall inlay into the body of the costume... making a sort of harness to carry the (minimal) weight of the costume on my back.

The deadline of the campus competition is the 31st, the same day I planned to do this thing. But I emailed Tom and he said it was ok if I go beyond the deadline.

I'll be handing out OBEY flyers and newgrounds flyers

I dunno. I've kinda gone off the idea. I'd prefer to do something more recognisable and less self-indulgent. Like strawberryclock (except this sbc won't have robotic voice or anything cool like that... it'll be a pretty rushed job).
