Doesn't matter. they didn't go to the man and take pictures just for that small story. That's just some stock footage the company owns that some dude handling the text determined best represented the story. So it has nothing to do with who the person wants to marry.

To be fair to the Japanese, the male-oriented romance manga tend to be pretty well written, and even I've found myself closer (emotionally) to some of the manga characters I read about than the majority of women I've dated (i've had a lot of bad experiences though). Naru from Love Hina and Belldandy from Oh! My Goddess! in particular.

But marriage is just silly. Plus the feeling passes and is pretty much forgotten within a few days of finishing the series.

Also, I haven't felt an equivalent feeling to anything in American entertainment, save the 'Blankets' graphic novel, so most of you probably haven't been exposed to it either, and thus can't even come close to comprehending why they might think this way.

I'm pretty sure all of us have connected emotionally with fictional characters whether through cinema or writing. Only some decide to become obsessed by some of them.

Generally if you want to get respect from the world your going to have to be obsessed with the non-fictional things in life.

Marlin Clock

Idno, plenty of people don't respect non-fictional obsessions too.

Well, on the bright side, at least they won't have offspring.
if there were two guys on the moon and one of them killed the other with a rock that'd be pretty fucked up wouldn't it?

ChimeClock

they are realllly just asking for it, aren't they?

I'll finally be able to marry this sexy beast

I've read manga (and get what you're saying about it being emotional and whatnot), and I still think it's quite silly. It's almost like having a crush on your favorite movie star, except movie stars are real people.

I just don't care though, marry whatever you want, don't hurt me none, but don't get mad at me if I get luls off of it.

True. Like money for example. Your point?

Isn't this already legal, bobby has been happily married to Nana of Elfen Lied for several years now. They have two kids.

Actually, Mephisto used his devil magic to divorce Peter and Mary Jane, and also unrevealed Spider-Man's identity, because Joe Quesada is a big drooling baby with nothing better to do.

The flash can fuck you in every hole at once because he's so fast, who wouldn't want that?

you wouldn't even know it, as we speak he could be fucking me in the ass and I'd have no clue
Quote from: FLOUNDERINYOBUTT;1837615I think Kodiak is the only person on  this entire website who dislikes Slurpee. I still dont understand how  thats possible. He\'s so loveable and funny. Every guy wants to be his  friend and every girl wants to date him. Understandably Slurpee is not a  very happy person.

AlbinoClock

Apparently this phenomenon is not unique to Japan.

Quote from: /x/I have a serious question.

Is it in ANY way possible, through magic, willpower, or anything else /x/ of the sort to create in reality a fictional entity?

In example, I draw/write up a hefty amount of information about a fictional being I create, then find a way to make him/her real?

I'm talking making a soul, or simply just a very intricately-programmed doll of sorts.

...all that would really matter to me would be the body itself, if the entity was to be programmable, but if the soul/personality could already be put into place, all the better.

INB4 birth and animu/rpg/lulz

I'd be willing to go elsewhere to talk this over, and even give an email or IM contact(made for this sole purpose so trolling would be kindof pointless) to further this.

This is something I have been serious about for literally YEARS now, about since I was 12 or so.

Plenty of years have passed, and because my resourced are, at the moment, rather limited, maybe the diversity of a chan will halp.

Or atleast get a fair enough talk going.

hahahaha

Mein gott! If this guy's fantasy comes true, the result could be disastrous! We'll starve because our food will talk and our cars will drive themselves and crash all over the place.

No, he needs someone who loves him for just being Barry :(
