1.  Atmosphere:    The Clock Crew swelled up and grew into an atmosphere of rage and faggotry.  This still remains.  Many folks actually went to the LL to get away from the constant teenage angst and e-penis fights we see in the Clock Crew.  (not that I'm saying it doesn't happen in the LL from time to time)


2.  Smaller group:   Many folks enjoy a smaller group, as they can learn more of their fellow members and end up creating a closer-knit community.  Here at the CC, you find much of the members spread out.


3.  Less Serious:  Clock Crew is serious business, LL is more laid back.


4.  Faces:  Some people enjoy drawing locks more than clocks for faces.  simple, yes?




So now I have answered your question, I believe I am due an answer to mine.

Why should the Clock Crew care about the Lock Legion anyways, as I thought you guys were supposedly the superior bunch.  Is the Lock Legion really that much of a threat to your e-popularity and yet again, why should you guys care?

I understand 2 and 4, but I've also had the feeling that the LL is a lot more serious business than the clockcrew. probably from back when peach and trash and communist were nazi mods. ( are they still around?)

also, to answer your question. neither should particularly care about the other, because not only is neither a threat to the other, we are and always will be essentially the same thing

I consider myself both, much in the same manner as I consider myself a fan of two opposing college football teams.  I still do make Clock flashes, as I did for Christmas 08, just not as much as I used to, and I have several chums here that I can't find elsewhere.  Plus, the CC is where I got my start, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.  (Not to mention that since May I could very seldom access this site due to the very dial-up unfriendly layout of this site, seriously, you guys need to simplify it some.     )

The way I see it, the clockc rew and lock legion are like economies. they have a cycle. they get better and productive, and then they fall into a slump, and then they get better again. seems to me like where the CC is between these two extremes, the LL is experiencing a recession. Give it time they'll put out something good and so will we. then we'll both have sveral months of being inactive and crap. thats how we've both always worked and there no use use pretending the CC and LL are really any different.

Peach is no longer an admin or mod.  Trash is an assistant coder.  Both only post from time to time.   Communist joined WoW and has disappeared since September.


Also, thank you for finally saying what I was hoping somebody would say.  We are 2 peas from the same pod.  If anything, we should work together and leave behind some of that old LL/CC hate.

-  I'd be lying if I said there was no e-drama, that's why I pointed it out in parenthesis.  

-  I think you misunderstood the reasoning.  The smaller group is referring to the increased sense of comradely among the members in a smaller group.

-  Actually, I was referring to Aubergine Lock's comment on the differences between Locks and Clocks being that some like using locks for faces and some like to use clocks for faces.

-  No, I'd actually argue that the Lock Legion started as a spam group, but, as the time passed, it grew a life of it's own with it's own set of on site memes.  Separate from the original.  (Note:  The LL has never denied that the CC is the original.)  As an example, I point out a couple sites and networks/programs.  Namely, SomethingAwful and 4chan.  4chan began as a splinter from SomethingAwful, but grew to it's own.

Alternately, you could look at how Adult Swim became a separate entity from Cartoon Network (Adult Swim is actually legally defined as a separate network from Cartoon Network, but uses the same channel), and they each have their own qualities.
