My only point was, Im bitter about a movie winning that I could give two shits about. I believe that there where three other movies far more deserving and those movies were wall-e, Milk, and Frost/nixon. Mostly, im bitter for sitting through no country for old men when I had no inclination to watch it until it won the oscar. I then proceeded to watch it, found it depressing, and scratched my head at the ending before finally understanding it after watching it the third time.



Sorry for having a different/unpopular opinion guys. Ill go back to my redneck farm with my chickens. Illinois is such a southern state.

Actually, your point was that nobody had seen it. To which, you are mistaken. The American population had not been so thorough in accepting it but the rest of the world had.

Its a fine movie. I just dont agree with the decision to make it best picture. I'm not surprised it was well received across the pond. I'm just surprised it was named best picture. As ive stated before there where movies far more deserving then some feel-good foreign film.

The fact that you picked up a movie purely based on the fact that it won an award shows your lack of intuitiveness and culture.

No Country for Old Men was intended to be bleak and nihilistic. The title itself already shows this.
