It's been a while since I've got to post about Duke Nukem and it was something even remotely positive but as of right now DukeNukem.com is a countdown site that ends during Gearbox's panel at PAX west. There's been images leaked of a 'Duke Nukem 3D: World Tour' which confirms rumours that Gearbox will be re-releasing Duke 3D with a new episode, which is neat enough. The screencaps had some pretty glaring visual issues that scream of the devs not being familiar/fluent with the build engine, but whatever. I guess I should be happy the game will be back on shelves (read: steam).

Over on Duke4.net they're speculating about the announcement of a new Duke title altogether which seems possible since its been 5 (FIVE!!!) years since Forever, and they revealed that game at PAX east when they took things over from 3D Realms.

I'm not a fan of Gearbox Software, but with all the legal bullshit thats been thrown around since DNF dropped I'm glad to see that the series hasn't come to a grinding halt.

I'd be cool with another 2D duke game, but as a side game like Zero Hour or Time to kill. They've actually done a sides rolling throwback title, back in 2001 or so, meant to tide fans over until Forever came out. It was called Manhattan Project and it was pretty rad. Duke Nukem 5 should definitely be a fps.

I would like to make a play on 'vote five' with something to do with giving your wife your entire 5" but I can't think of a way to cleverly word that, so please pretend I said something funny and not horribly offensive.

im really fuckin skeeved at my computer science instructor right now because he kept telling us like "oh don't wait til the last minute to do the assignment" and im like "it's fucking bubble sort dude i'll do it in 20 minutes" but I started at 7pm anyway in case I bumped into an unexpected problem and it is now 10:42 and I haven't gotten anything done because PSYCH, he wants us to put the bubble sort into a fucking .cpp and .hpp file he made that's giving me all kinds of random compiler errors that have nothing to do with anything we're covering in class (the chapter in the textbook we're covering doesn't even cover includes) and make zero sense because there's so many versions of eclipse and so many linkers and compilers that the ones i have installed at home aren't compatible with the ones at school. so i'm sitting there carving out his extraneous code that's not necessary for the fucking program trying to find out what the problem actually is and new ones keeping popping up until i finally just say fuck it and decide to define and declare the functions inline and I'M STILL GETTING A FUCKING ERROR for using push_back with the fucking vector include and namespace std, come to find out the workspace that he specifically told us to put on a flash drive so we could work on the same projects at school and at home fucking break irreparably when used with different versions of eclipse WHICH HE ALSO TOLD US TO DO (Mars installed at school, video tutorial specifically says to install the newest version, which at the time of the video was Luna but now is Neon)

and now i'm sitting here about to turn the fucking assignment in fucking late because i'm fucking reinstalling everything and fucking starting from fucking scratch and I just know he fucking thinks it's going to be because i started at the last minute and that's only technically true because if he hadn't fucking sabotaged me with this bullshit program i wouldve fucking knocked it out in a manner of goddamned minutes FUCK, FUUUUUUCK. FUCK.

UPDATE: I AM STILL GETTING THE RANDOM COMPILER ERRORS AND SWITCHING TO A NEW WORKSPACE ONLY FIXED THE PUSH_BACK PROBLEM. I AM 100% FUCK YOU RIGHT NOW
