After watching 'The End of the Fucking World' last night, I'm in the mood for some good feel-bad coming of age type movies so I think I'm going to watch 'Lady Bird' this afternoon. I tried watching it a week or two ago while I was drinking and it was really harshing my buzz so I had to turn it off.

Truthfully I'm very self conscious about talking too much and looking like a jackass in all social situations and I don't consider myself a very smart, funny or interesting person so I only opt to pitch my two cents into an ongoing conversation when I feel I have something to contribute, or maybe a joke.

I followed up watching 'The End of the F***ing World' with 'Lady Bird' and it was definitely one of the best movies I've seen all year. Powerful performances by all, really had me invested on an emotional level. My money's on this for best picture at the oscars.

I followed that up with 1938's 'The Adventures of Robin Hood', for a change of pace. What a joy it was to watch. The sets and costume design are fantastic, the characters are charming and endearing, and action is so much fun.

Lastly, today, I watched 'Ingrid Goes West' after they talked about it a bit on the last episode of Half in the Bag. It's a kind of dark comedy/drama film, and I would recommend it with the asterisk that it made me cringe a lot. Not in any way indicative to the quality of the film, just on a level of the comedy coming from the actions of the characters in the movie.. that made me cringe. So if that's your bag, you'll probably dig it a lot.
