it's a stacking window manager for people who want to read a manual to learn to write a config file to produce a UX that would have been very cool in the early 2000s, or window manager behavior understood only by people with an opinion about Sun Microsystems

pros: practically everything from appearance to window behaviors can be customized to the extent that you could specifically tell Steam "don't do that" and it might listen
cons: arcane *nix wizard style configuration; modular as in "find your own systray;" originally built in olden times

recommended if you like: driving around in your car with the radio and part of the a/c sitting disassembled on the front seat

I remember that screen. It made me think of the turbo button you used to have on 486s. Remember those? I never knew what it was for, but I always turned it on because, you know, "turbo". Apparently though: "Disengaging turbo mode slows the system down to a state compatible with original 8086/8088 chips. On most systems, turbo mode was with the button pushed in, but since the button could often be wired either way, on some systems it was the opposite." Nice.
