I personally know a lot of people who are nostalgic for the 70's—do you think somebody who was born in 1969 cared about Nixon or the oil crisis..?

There's a radio channel in my area (103.3 K-ZPO) that only plays music from the 30's, 40's and 50's and it is literally called the Nostalgia Station. What an incorrect claim to make. One of the incorrectest. :trump lips:

PhantomCatClock

everyone who likes this small niche of music called rock and roll is nostalgic for the 70's

I was going to write something else but forgot when I started reading the thread again whoops

in the meantime I am at the perfect amount of hangover where it doesn't hurt hurt but it hurts to look at stuff

Actually I Only Listen To The Beatles
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

PhantomCatClock

then do I have a genre for you

one of the maybe three companies that have yet to stop emailing me about HOW WE ARE RESPONDING TO COVID-19 is my bank.

I just got charged a service fee because during the furlough I wasn't getting direct deposit, and they increased my interest rate.

VCRClock

le reddit convinced me to join a credit union like 6 years ago, and I haven't seen a bullshit service fee since

my previous bank, chase, had set me up with a "college checking account," which worked like a normal person checking account for 4 years plus a little, then started charging an arbitrary $6 service fee every month if my checking account balance was below a certain figure

i hate both credit and unions

but then again I know someone who hates raisins and hates yogurt but loves yogurt-covered raisins. I will think on this.

I was at a trivia contest one time and the question was "who was the first person to die in the movie Scream? the character's name or the actor"
and we were like "wh- Drew Barrymore. everybody knows that =/"

and then I was like [whispering excitedly to my team] "OHMYGUH- NO! her boyfriend steve dies first!"

and I thought, that was a really cool question, because
the whole thing in scream where the killer asks who the killer is in friday the 13th, that came from a bar trivia contest where everybody got the answer wrong
so it's neat that the movie then produced another question that had the same effect
and also I was stoked because we were probably the only ones that were going to get it right

but then it turned out the people hosting the trivia night forgot about steve and the answer they were looking for was "drew barrymore" because they're dumb

A friend showed me a thing on the Mandella Mandalla Mendalla whatever you know the one

the Effect and like, ten of them I just remembered correctly, nine were things I was unaware of in the first place, much less mistaken on, and one is like

oh, that's why avgn felt like he was in the wrong universe.

I fully accept I am incorrect, but I present the image in my mind as evidence this shows promise to be studied. I can see the wrong thing, I asked my dad and teacher what it was called, and that's how I was able to named it when asked what it was only to be greeted with "surprise it was never like that you learned the word for nothing"

PhantomCatClock

also was it the mom

i really dont want to watch it again the first movie stunk

[u2]7AoikSAuypw[/u2]

people don't believe me when I say Scream 2 is good and then I show them this scene and they're like "is that the aunt from roseanne?" and "that was awesome"
