wwe's deal with the city of orlando through october has them renting out the amway center for ~ten thousand dollars

I feel like if we pooled our resources we could afford that. y'all want to rent a stadium?

I don't know what we'd do with it yet, maybe sell peggeys?

PhantomCatClock

PhantomCatClock

also I think a big part of that deal is not backstabbing the entity that will enter into a millions dollar contract once Covid19 is over because an animation club outbid them by one dollar and a voucher at the local pet shelter for a free cat

Slurpee

whoa who said anything about giving them the voucher?

PhantomCatClock

The amazing thing about these vouchers is they aren't actually a service the pet rescue offers. I just write them, in pen, and you'd think it'd be a ripoff, but the shelters all seem to accept them.

Only surface level relevant to that thing VCR posted but the old saying 'there are no girls on the internet'; I always thought referred to the social environment of the web in olden times holding a fundamental anonymity until you otherwise made your IRL persona known by choice therefore rendering the innate social biases of interaction between the sexes irrelevant.

But I guess it was just that only four eyed acne ridden dorks used the internet so NO GIRLS ALLOWED REEEEEEEE until Steve jobs came along with his eye phones and suddenly everyone and their great grandmother has a Facebook

RobClock

Remember when the internet was fun?

that's on the internet, nobody knows you're a dog

the other side of the "no girls on the internet" aphorism was that in certain environs, it was more than likely that a self-identified "girl" was a man pretending to be a girl
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

PhantomCatClock

I agree it's just not true any more, but my favorite came from a Red vs Blue uh.. side sketch. Whatever they called the little non-canon one-offs.

"The Internet: where the men are men and the women are too."

in a effort to be marginally more progressive i have provided a safe alternative to the e1337 guard barracks,

not as progressive as my legal pronoun change from 2017 but in 2020 we should be grateful for any good news we can get

in 2015 the Cheez-It logo was changed to have a "dainty cheese cracker" instead of a hyphen

- Remember that old TV you gave me? It finally broke.
- You can either get it fixed or throw it out.
- Ah really? I figured I was gonna have to have it mounted in my fucking ass.

PhantomCatClock

You can't give a snarky sarcastic response to an unnecessary answer when your opener was also unnecessary

that is not the Klingon way

pop-tart

I get these customers that are like "Do you carry <insert random thing like cranberries here>?"

So I'm like, "Only closer to Thanksgiving, sorry."

And they're like, "uGh, i GuEsS i'LL hAvE tO bUy tHeM sOmeWhERe eLsE!"

And I'm all like, "Gee, you must have went to college because you're smart and stuff."

You fucking with me? When someone gives you a shitty TV and both parties expect it to last for maybe two minutes and it ends up lasting well over two years, it's not earth-shattering, but it's okay to mention. Especially when said shitty TV is a sort of an inside joke. YEAH I WATCHED THAT DOCUMENTARY "AFRICA" BUT BECAUSE OF ALL THE SNOW ON YOUR SHITTY TV I THOUGHT I WAS WATCHING "ANTARCTICA". Is there a race of like space morons on Star Trek, please tell me the name so I can call you one.
