As someone who loves pineapple pizza with like ham and other sweet stuff, I tried to ignore it, but I can imagine the pain of an ex pizza manager having to see it.

RenegadeClock

I am currently at war with my cousins over the pineapple pizza debate. Put whatever you want on your pizza. There is no right or wrong topping.

PhantomCatClock

I've always liked anchovies. I'm used to just not bothering to argue back.

SO MY MOM just noticed there was a $90/mo "protection" fee on  her Amazon card, felt bad about it because she didn't know it was there. She called them up to cancel that and they said since she didn't know about it they were really sorry and just refunded over three grand, $90 for every month she's had her card.

So yeah I really like Amazon right now and I take back  everything bad I've said about those bozos. They're a good company.

RenegadeClock

So she's been getting dinged for $90 a month for about 3 years and just now noticed it?

PhantomCatClock

It's online/automatic/not through her bank

zl

Wow, a complete refund? That's legitimately amazing, good on them

PhantomCatClock

It even inspired me to finally getting around to E-mailing the Audible customer service because I've been doing this thing where I didn't want to cancel my account because I'd lose my credits, but I didn't want to spend my credits because I am a depressed idiot and the idea of going on and having to choose was weirdly intimidating. So the cycle continued and the only reason I kept it going was because I was too far in to quit, now.

Anyway, after getting on earlier it turns out you can't have more than six credits anyway so I was actually paying for nothing due to me being a dumbass, instead of just mostly paying for nothing because I'm a dumbass. Their customer service didn't even take thirty minutes to say "oh ok" and cancel my account and give me a smidgen over a year's worth of refund. Good people all the way down. That story was so dumb and embarrassing I almost didn't share it, since it was entirely my fault, but it was relevant and that's what the Biggest Topic is all about. It's all about staying on topic.

Our recommended book this month is "The Protocols of The Elders of Strawberry Clock: A Spam Anthology".

PhantomCatClock

tl;dr but I'd read The Protocols of the Elders of Strawberry Clock: Spamthology

Saw Excitebike 64 on the virtual console. I never could unlock HILL CLIMB® without a Gameshark, but now I am an adult and TALENTED and this can't be as hard as I remember

haha fuck me it's harder

SockpuppetClock

i would like to index every single clockcrew movie at some point. yeah... at some point...

PhantomCatClock

I had a sweet index of every movie of mine in my sig for a while and was going to make the protocol for listing movies public but then I realized nobody gave a shit and using an actual database would've been better, anyway

I had a dream last night of waking up this morning and opening this site on my phone to discover a new forum skin. It was blue, fairly basic, and had that CC silhouette logo that Leek got the tattoo of at the top of the page

I really wish the discord people who had said they were going to make a new skin for this website had actually done that instead of half baking a new forum structure before rolling over and letting all that renewed enthusiasm go to waste

Yeah, I really didn't understand why we were putting so much effort into planning casinos and flash portals and all that jizz. I'd be down for working on it if everyone doesn't hate on the design and cry for it to exactly like cc.cc from 2003.

speaking of which, the w.i.p.p. message is lightweight becoming a meme
youse all may've seens parts of its befores?
QuoteThis place is a message...and part of a system of messages...pay attention to it!

Sending this message was important to us. We considered ourselves to be a powerful culture.

This place is not a place of honor...no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here...nothing valued is here.

What is here is dangerous and repulsive to us. This message is a warning about danger.

The danger is in a particular location...it increases toward a center...the center of danger is here...of a particular size and shape, and below us.

The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours.

The danger is to the body, and it can kill.

The form of the danger is an emanation of energy.

The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb this place physically. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.
there's something cosmically humbling about the whole thing
we pulled together great minds from different disciplines who took as given that we will not last, to find a way to warn whatever follows about something terrible we'll leave behind. it brings the scale of it into such sharp relief- the  nuclear waste will still be dangerous for ten thousand years.

so, it's funny to use this to refer to, say, DVD copies of Beverly Hills Chihuahua,
but I kind of hope it doesn't get over too much because I feel like that diminishes its poetic significance? just thinking out loud

That'd be really coolio and if anyone says anything about me just lemme know and I'll kick their ass

I want to make a really, really, really basic site that lets you arrange/sort/search Flashes that got removed in the uh
music crusade thing
eventually gonna make a thread for people to post links to them so I can nab the .swf file, and if the actual OWNERS of the Flash are still around, the time/date it was published, comments it had, uh, other stuff as well.

I guess I should hop to that while these cartoons are still fresh in peoples minds. This site is going to be VERY shittily made/quickly made/I will put it off for no bullshit at least a year
