did you know there are swiss army knife forums even more inbred than our forums? there are more than one of these communities. I wasn't sure which one of the two knives I'd narrowed it down to I wanted so I made one little google search.

in texas, if your swiss army knife gets confiscated at the airport, it ends up at an open-to-the-public store where the state gets rid of surplus property

there are definitely people combing through for the nice knives and leathermen, but otherwise it's like choosing a pickle from a barrel you just gotta be careful not to cut yourself
