LSD

CD Clock

Oh and I get like frame-by-frame holograms that move in like paintings and stuff

and i see faces everywhere.

it's pretty rad.

EDIT: the stuff you see is very 'real' too, it looks like it's actually there, crystal clear. It doesn't look fake or overlayed or computer generated.

It really depends on the drug and how much you take. With salvia it was sort of like I was dreaming.

I don't do drugs, but hallucinations are typically based on my perspective. Our  pattern recognition goes into overtime making such things more real to us than they would be if say, drawn, or photographed...

But it all depends, there are lots of different types of hallucinations.

Never tried LSD but I have done mushrooms on several occasions. Your brain just orients thing in a different way, absinthe gave a really good example of this a while back when he explained one of his mushroom trips to me, a naive young hallucinogen curious boulder. He said he looked around the room and every object was the same thing. When your tripping things are the same, but extremely different in their own way, every individual thing can have its own vibe, as for actual physical manifestations, they are more just along the lines of floating patterns, breathing objects and intense color effects, things along those lines.
Of coarse all of this is just a supplement to the insane things that go through your mind, that is the most intense part of any trip for me.

Quote from: Slurpee;1554641do the hallucinations manifest, from your perspective, as objects in 3-dimensional space? if you move around, do they stay in the same position? can you feel them?

or is it just... perceptual warping?

I have never seen a 3-dimensional object, always 2-dimensional, like broadcast on a screen.

You can not feel them. But they stay in place. Rather than something floating on your cornia, it's as if imagination were layered over reality. Like the scene in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas where television footage is broadcast on the wall, you will see things existing within their space like that. It's as if the walls of your homes were covered in Flash movie clips of all sorts of nonsense. And anyone who tells you something like "mickey mouse came out of the tv and threw knives at my balls" is a liar.

Quote from: Sombra;1554653Some would consider MDMA and even cannabis a hallucinogen.

Marijuana is a hallucinogen. It's only classified as a narcotic for prosecution purposes. It's not made from poppies though.

How is cannabis a hallucinogen? Do you just have to take lots and lots of specially cured cannabis or something?

It's not a full-blown acid trip, and you don't see things, but the buzz effect of marijuana is the effect of the hallucinogenic properties. Also, smoking weed it the least potent way to ingest it - baking and eating it, or brewing a tea, actually may give you visuals. But as far as drug classifications, it is a hallucinogen, not a barbituate or a narcotic.

Not specially cured, just good.

The way I interpreted mushrooms was that every little detail I wasn't sure about was exploited and turned into the thing I thought it should be most. So when a phone was half in shadow, and I could tell very little for sure, I thought it was a giant roach, even though I knew it was a phone, and when I saw a cloudy pattern in a wall in the distance, I decided it was the outlines of the mortar strongly exaggerated.

Cannabis is more of a hallucinogen in terms of the mind high, you think differently than you would when your not high. It is a light mental trip not a visual trip.

No, I get a definite visual trip. Until very high doses it's just closed-eye hallucinations, but once it gets to a certain point I can't even really see what's going on around me unless someone gets my attention, it's just like a crazy op art sequence from Tank Girl or the like. That doesn't mean it's the same as with psilocybin, where you imagine full objects into your environment, but there are multiple types of hallucination.

I'm curious if the Clock Crew has had any experience with spirits whilst in the altered state. Like the green man. I always wanted to meet him, he sounds like a blast. Weird, I refuse to believe anyone who tells stories about inanimate objects coming to life, but I don't discredit the spirit encounter thing.

Speaking of pot hallucinations, I actually saw this fucking face come out of a painting when I was smoking once. The face is in the clouds looking off to the side, one of those patterns your eyes recognize, but it's always there.  This day though, it swung around and looked at me, and stared for a while. Cool stuff. Closest thing to a "stop sign sprouted legs and ran away" story I have.

hallucinogens sound interesting

most drugs just sound too boring to be worth trying but I would think about trying mushrooms or LSD some time

DingleberryClock

I tried what I was told was mescaline once. It was just X cut with powder. Not good at all, don't do X. It was just like wearing several layers of wet clothes, plus the nausea.

DigitalLemonClock

well they'll definitally not be boring, but i'm not sure wether I should actually recommend them to anyone because you might have a really bad experience with them

i guess the best thing to do is just do as much research into the drugs you want to try as you can, and then decide wether it's something suited for you
