Silver/Gold changed the game entirely, to the point that I felt that ruby/sapphire was a step down for what they detracted from S/G.

If this remake is true, I will burst in joy, G/S/C is the best pokemon game ever, so it's a good thing R/S/E wasn't a full sequel to them like G/S/C was to R/B/Y

I'm playing it on an emulator and there is this option in which you can speed up the game. Really handy.

I don't think they will because a) they are still producing and selling DS lites b) it would severely limit the amount of people who would be able to play the game and c) it has no prominent features that will take advantage of the DS's capabilities.
