Quote from: Marlix Wright;1592511You're not Link in this game, though, that's why you can't beat Ganondorf, and instead must seal him with the flood.

Ahhhhh, but any Zelda game when not playing as Link is bound to cause the fanboys to revolt. Also: Ganon wasn't sealed away with the flood, was he? This is a good question actually, how exactly does he return after 1000 years? I myself forget - is it ever explained, or just magic?

Blah blah blah Zelda.

You know why is New Super Mario Bros Wii going to be one of the best games of the year?

Here is why.

MORTON KOOPA JR. ON YOUR MOTHERFUCKING FACE NIGGAS POW!

Oh and also, Kojima is making a Castlevania game. Awesome.

TequilaClock

So so so many games already have hand-on reviews, and most of them are looking to be amazing must-haves. I can't wait to have Sin & Punishment 2 in my hands

I'm pretty sure he just eventually broke the seal put on him with the Triforce of Power like he did when he eventually broke himself out of the Golden Realm in order to rise up again as the tale of Windwaker says.

Remember that his full power was actually sealed until the master sword was unsheathed, thus giving cause for having the hero plunge it into that stand.

If you didn't believe it, well here you go

I also notice he has the shield in his left arm that means that UFDUOGDFGOUDGUOD

I hope this is the Majora's Mask of Twilight Princess if you know what I mean

A round-up of the best and worst of E3.  It's an article of someone else's opinion, so...

Sony

Best
God of War III - Holy shit that game looks pretty and awesome and fun and awesome and pretty.  Did you see that last kill?  Hell yeah!

Final Fantasy XIII - I want to be the black guy.  Can I be the black guy?  I saw them running around as three people but can I be the black guy?  Also, if the video is to be believed, the game looks very pretty, as well.

Uncharted 2 - Aw hell yeah.  I've been anticipating this game since it was first announced (I enjoyed the first one immensely, though it had some flaws).  This game is looking vastly improved over the first.  It's really good looking, looks fun and really action-packed, and the footage I've seen from the game (there was this one other video) looks great.  The comment at the end of the video made me laugh, too.

The Last Guardian - The keynote trailer can be found here.  Well, first of all, looks like that video that was released before for this was not a hoax.  Second, the graphics are great.  Looks like they haven't done the detail on the kid yet, but his animations are incredibly slick.  Gonna have to find out, you know, any information at all about this game before jumping to any conclusions, but knowing Team Ico's track record, it'll probably be a must-buy.

Gran Turismo PSP - I don't own a PSP so I am apathetic.  Also, I'm not very fond of racing games, but, I must say, 800 cars sounds like a sweet deal.

Assassin's Creed 2 - Looks like a ton of fun.  Hopefully it's not as disappointing as I heard the first one was (I haven't played it myself so I can't judge).  Looks pretty awesome, though.

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker - Trailer can be found here.  It's a sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3 (and a sequel to Portable Ops, I assume).  Looks pretty noice.  Once again, Kojima knows how to lay on the mindfuck because there are four Snakes in that trailer.  At once.  And two of them do stuff in a cardboard box.

PSP Go! - Once again, apathetic.

Worst
That Playstation Motion Tracker thing - Once again, apathetic, and it's obvious they're trying to cash in on the whole motion sensing endless peripherals craze going on.  The tracking looked fairly spot on and precise, though, and I was surprised with how well the writing worked out, but knowing how hard a time I have coordinating moving my body around when looking in a mirror, it seems like this game would give me an aneurysm.  The sword-fighting thing was neat (and I hated the graphics so much less), but I can't help but think it won't go beyond a tech demo, with no game using those controls for anything but gimmicks at the least.  The throwing stars and bow and arrow thing looked kinda fun, though.
Also I fucking hate the player Gametrailers uses.  It crashes every time and I have to click the progress bar on it for a minute before it starts working again.

I'll do the Nintendo and Xbox ones next.
Tomorrow.  I'm sleepy right now and I must get sleep for graduation.

The article gave Sony a B+

Despite all the negativity, all thre companies did very well this year. Lineup wise mainly, the Wii is getting a lot of sexy titles like Sin & Punishment 2; I want to play Brutal Legend and The Saboteur some day; Bayonetta still looks amazing (even with eye candy); God of War 3 is obviously a dick splitter is awesomeness; the demo of Shadow Complex in the Microsoft conference left me drooling. HD graphics in traditional 2D gameplay is amazing.

Thor

I love the PS3 motion tracker thing. It's what I wanted the wii to be, but the wii failed me. I want a 1 to 1 sword fighting game damn it!

Project Natal looks cool but it probobly isn't going to be out for a long time. Also it lagged noticeably compared to Wii and Sony's motion capture.

To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

Marlin Clock

It's sorta like starving a man, I think people were just wanting something, anything and they'd be satisfied this year.

Asshatclock

Bayonetta, Final Fantasy XIII, New Super Mario Bros wii, New Zelda, God of War 3, Brutal Legend, Call of duty modern warfare 2.

I like this e3.

I would be excited over Assasins creed 2 if the first one wasn't a big letdown.

Thor

New zelda spoilers:

You play as Link
You have to save zelda
It turns out the evil guy is actually working for ganon WHAT A TWIST!

The Triforce may be involved in some way.

New Super Smash Bros is so wrong, if "Wrong" was a fruit, it would be named New Super Smash Bros.

I actually sorta enjoyed this e3. If Nintendo didn't reveal anything amazing, the little fanboy in my heart says it'll just be all the better when they "accidentally" leak a trailer or screen shot. That Zelda picture, despite it's horrible condition, made me still wet myself.

I'm excited for the new Metroid and Super Mario Bros. I need a new multiplayer fix on my wii. Last Guardian and Metal Gear Rising also made me very content. What a good year. I liked it. It was just enough.
