Slurpee

THERSITES
What art thou?

MARGARELON
A bastard son of Priam's.

THERSITES
I am a bastard too; I love bastards: I am a bastard
begot, bastard instructed, bastard in mind, bastard
in valour, in every thing illegitimate. One bear will
not bite another, and wherefore should one bastard?
Take heed, the quarrel's most ominous to us: if the
son of a whore fight for a whore, he tempts judgment:
farewell, bastard.

[Exit Thersites]

MARGARELON
The devil take thee, coward!

[Exit Margarelon]

it's worth reading for thersites alone

though tbh I think shakespeare is better performed than read. it's difficult to parse mentally, so it can make for heavy reading, even when the tone is light.

MISTA BOOTSIE

hamlet was like the only thing by him I could really get into.

I actually find it really easy to understand his form of English, if that's what you're talking about.

well, actually, I meant what I said, but I guess I could see how you'd think I meant something completely different

MISTA BOOTSIE

dude slurpee just meant that shakespeares plays are simply more palpable performed than read. Which I have to agree with. It's sort of like a "you had to be there" type situation. Where his writings seem more natural, fluid, and poetic performed, rather than written down. Like it almost adds a dimension to it or somthing I dunno

I've only read them :(

But everyone I've talked to about it seems to think the same thing as Slurpee.

The Spoiler

I don't have much of an opinion on Shakespeare (though I liked Twelfth Night), but his plays have been so thoroughly butchered by high-school theater teachers around the world that I feel bad for the guy.

AnkhClock

that's what you get for being in the public domain so long
I'm sure vivaldi feels the same

'the devil take thee' is a pretty badass way to express dislike twards someone though
