Let's see what you have so far.

SnakeClock

I got my start in Flash by following the built-in tutorials.

PirateClock

i started using flash by tweening  bitmaps across the screen.

that was 5 years ago... haven't improved much since then.

You should probably animate at 24-30 frames per second for fluid but fairly easy to work with animation. If you want to add sounds to your movie, use the "stream" option.

That's all I know, and I was made a clock before the automatic clockification system. Hey!!
Also kryptonite is a kind of cool clock name
the man, the legend

AstronautClock

I learned it by doing flash for 30 days without any help of tutorials or sunlight!
now I know everything

TheClockNessMonster

i would like to thank everyone for the awesome help! ive improved since my last animation and am expecting to have my next one out sometime at the end of june!

When FBFing, draw the first and last frames of the action first, then draw the frame halfway in-between, then all the halfway frames until you have it all filled. This will keep things smooth and allow you to judge when you've drawn enough frames. You don't always need to fill in every single frame for an action! Use full frames for slower or subtle actions and skip frames for faster ones so that it makes them look like they're so fast you can't see what's happening.

Have you looked at any tutorials?

Also, are you doing in this in a course/class or are you just doing it in your spare time?

I taught myself flash but there are so many tutorials you can use from actionscripting to shading and the list keeps going.  Your best beet is checking newgrounds tutorials out or other various sites. But it is better to just practice and figure it out yourself.

GamblerClock

For fbfing using onion skins helps a lot, they let you see the before and anter frames.

In the display options under the thread listing, change "From The Last Month" to "From The Beginning".

Learn to work in MovieClips fast, 200% of doing flash is making progress or you'll lose intereset in the project.

Most of all, be simple. Don't spend to much energy on some background or small detail; Most people wont notice.
Watch popelour flashes and see what you take notice of and what you don't: I usually look at the backgrounds of famous flashes and always get suprised over how simple they are but that's because as a viewer you only notice the point of interest, not the whole scene.

By the way, Welcome to the ClockCrew :D Asking about the works of flash is always a great step towords the right direction so I hope ya stay around and progress.

Well, for starters, you can't be REALLY good in a couple of days.

But my animations are solid, hard shit.

But,I started with frame-by-frame then moved on to tweens.
Though it should be the other way.
Try using FUCKLOADS of layers.
But seriously,try frame-by-frame first.
It's an essential skill.
