Unless I missed it I have yet to see a CC thread on this game, nor have I even seen anyone here mention it. It was created by Tripwire Interactive, the same people that made Red Orchestra.

It is a fast-paced zombie game similar to L4D, but it has some very noticeable differences. A full SDK was released as soon as the game was available, so you see quite a few custom maps. Multiplayer allows up to six players instead of L4D's four, though I've seen servers with games anywhere between 6 and 24 players before which are the ones I usually play on. It also has a "perk" system: there are different classes you can choose which will give you special benefits in certain areas.

I'm really digging the atmosphere of the game, and I'm sure a few of you that enjoy zombie games would like to check this out. An additional bonus is it's only 20$.

I'll admit that it's obvious that a few things were taken from L4D and modified, the bloat based on the boomer, the siren based on the screamer, but the two games definitely have a different feel when you're playing them.

Here's a vid of some actual gameplay.

Quote from: Ribs;1591544It just seems like this is a big amalgamation of a whole bunch of stuff that's been done. It just looks like they stayed up all night playing Doom, Painkiller, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Max Payne, and L4D and said "Hey guys what if we ripped off all of these things?"

Granted, there's something to be said for taking the good stuff from a bunch of things and amalgamating them but I'm rarely able to take something like that seriously.

Some of it looks nice, but I specifically mentioned Painkiller because it seems that a great deal of the effects are identical, and considering it's a five year old game that kind of raises a brow for me.

But hell what do I know, could be fun.

i kind of agree with you, but i went to my friend's house yesterday and played online
