Choo Choo quote train comin' through

Quote from: Wrenchclock;1603072i wish i could draw like that :(
Well I can pretty much attribute it to drawing every single day in every single class instead of paying attention, for the most part. 3 solid years of mostly boring high school classes gave me a lot of time ;)

Quote from: AbsintheClock;1603087The trick is to keep making work, and to keep sending it out to different places. You'll get a ton of rejection letters like everyone else does but somewhere out there is a market for your work. Try getting some things in galleries, and remember to charge as much money as humanly possible or your work won't sell.
So like, cold call a bunch of firms/companies? I've been planning on doing that for a bit now. I should get on it once my portfolio is all organized.

Quote from: Susumu Hirasawa;1603155I think "Guten Tag!" is my favorite.
Thanks! A friend told me it kind of looks like a fucked up beer stein, so Guten Tag! fit perfectly.

Quote from: SwirlberryClock;1603405These are some of the coolest things I've seen in a while. I could definitely see your work on a board. People love Michael Sieben's work (Roger Skateboards) which is a tiny bit similar to yours, but I'd say these blow his out of the water. You seriously should push this stuff out there, I'd buy it.
Hahahaha thanks man! I really appreciate that. I think it would be really awesome if I could get some stuff on a board or something. I like money, too.

Quote from: TrickyClock;1603989I envy your artistic skills and great imagination.

Love those sketches, all of them.
Thanks. Like I said, I make most of them up as I go, so I guess it means somethings going on, yeah?

Well I've been using flash for 3 years now and I've done a few projects. I hope to get a lot better though

Quote from: Buttplug :V;1604101I want you to be on the design team for Diablo 3.
But I would only make it even brighter and more colorful!

Quote from: Asshatclock :0;1604176someday when I'm really high, I'll log on to the clockcrew and watch this thread again.
It would only be appropriate. A few of these were created under the influence, hah

Fuck yeah!

Quote from: 'Ghost[;1604270']its good that you draw on your tests :D
Ahahaha of course! Most of my teachers have seen my drawings, because they're pretty much on every homework assignment I turn in. I love their reactions.

Awww, shucks! :o

Anyone here ever read 'The Catcher in the Rye'? Doesn't matter either way, cause I made comics about the important events in the novel, to illustrate them for you! Oh, I also made all the characters monsters.

PLUS! Some old stuff
More Math class

History time goddamn

Both of these are acrylic/brush pen on gesso board 12x12 and 11x14, respectively.

Here's one on just plain canvas:

Except this one, made with Brush Pen, Highlighters, and some Spray Paint

Riot Cops!

Here's some photoshop foolery:

Bonus: Here's a really cool almond

Also one more, here's a flash I made for kicks, in case you've been wondering what's been playing the whole time you've been looking at this page.

Hope you bros can deal with the autoplay.

You're still images are sweet meet, but, seeing as how I am an insatiable critic, I feel the need to point out that you aren't very good at consistently drawing a character on model for a series of images.
Quote from: MafiaMettaurWhat the hell is with that shit you posted? You know what, I'm joining the Locks, just to stop stuff like you!
Quote from: polyhedronclockYou're a fucking clock, what else do you have?
To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

PaperClipClock

Woah, jesus christ is correct. I am severely impressed with all of your work. You've got a style, but you understand your subject, with wild ideas that make me jealous of your brain. I wish every post in this forum was half as good as this one, it's amazing.

Either that or fancy album covers.

As I said on the other forums, great work.

Well, I would say that's because I don't think of these as being a few characters being drawn several times. I kind of just draw everything as a new and different entity. I can see where you're coming from, though.

Yeah! I would love to do stuff like that. If anyone here wants anything like that just ask, yeah?

More stuff fuck youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Drew this fucker upside down and then flipped it for you^

edit: damn, that 'Baller' one is really big, I thought I resized it. Oh well!

actual art advice wise: this stuff's nice but a lot of the repeated faces and little speech bubbles added to defend the pictures are pretty obvious signs of you not wanting to be judged and it kind of detracts from the confidence of your pictures

Quote from: Ruger Clock;1602760

this one is my favourite out of all of them because it has the right kind of combination of art smarts and not giving a shit

however!!

Quote from: CrustClock;1602835I bet someone would pay you a lot of money to design skateboards. And I mean that as a compliment.

Quote from: AbsintheClock;1602943You've clearly got talent. I think you should develop some of those characters further. Stop dicking around, and start making money off these ideas.

these guys are totally right. your stuff is pretty doodly but skaters and people in that kind of group generally fucking love that stuff. you've got pretty much the exact right combination of surreal and lazy that people like to see in doodly design and you could totally make some money off of it.

if you want to improve though you should go and do a load of drawing from life. it shouldn't be too hard for you to get into since you obviously have a good grasp of everything else and once you start doing it and seeing some success from it it's pretty hard to stop.

To that first part: I never really thought about it, but you're right. I put a lot of those speech bubbles in because I feel it helps ground it more in normalcy rather than 'wow this is pretty fucked up'-ness. I shouldn't be afraid of that, should I?

To the second part: Thanks a bunch. You guys are really helping build my confidence in sending it out to places. I will definitely organize it this month and get on that!

To the third part: I have been starting on life drawings. As I've mentioned somewhere in this topic before, I've been slowly working my way through 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain' (which I recommend to anyone looking for help in drawing) and It's definitely helping my realism.

Continuing my momentum of posting a lot of stuff, here's a packet I did for my English class on 'A Farewell to Arms', this was about March/April

PepperClock

I really like these, really stylistic and really mordern day sorts of arts that are really popular with pop culture!

My only suggestion would be to make more drawings without word bubbles or things like that because it seems like the majority of your drawings turn into impossible to understand comics rather than superb works of art!
