I think the idea was good. You just need to clean up your action scripting and fix the glitches.

ToadClock

Doesn't matter anyway. All you need to get insanely good scores on Newgrounds is a tired-out stale idea that's been done eight million times, tons of useless features that makes the kiddies giggle at the sight, lots of NG character cameos, and the approval of Tom Fulp.
It also has to be really easy, so the kids can feel like they're doing really well.

Hope that helps.

And that tired out stale idea is usually one of the following:

Madness Combat
Sprites (Espeically Sonic/Mario)
Foamy
Pico

Or Halo... usually about how hilariously funny it is to "TeaBag" your opponents after their death.

I was actually referring to game styles: tower defense, kitten toss, and scrolling brawlers.
NG users have an aneurysm whenever they encounter anything actually original. They like what they know and nothing more.

What you mentioned generally applies to movies.

True. It's the same regime though, for the games and the movies.

It's difficult in general to make movies or games that are not "like" something else.  In the future after I release the games I'm already working on, I'm striving to make my games have their own identity, regardless if the Newgrounds public accepts it or not.  You should all do the same too.

I will be fixing up the glitches for him, shouldn't take too long.

Yes, thank you very much. :)
The file is only half done loading though.

This is an Actionscript 2 game, and I only do Actionscript 3 :(  Sorry.

... I should have made that clear before offering to help!
