short and half assed = award get. and after a couple of movies of short and halfassed you can try to go bigger and better one step at a time.

This is pretty much what I do. I almost never spend more than 1 day on a flash.

It's nice having the little pixels but I mostly participate in events for the fun of the event. It's like having little holidays throughout the year. Little events being like Easter or Thanksgiving and Clockday being Christmas or Fourth of July. The pixels are just a fun afterthought.

I like to participate in holidays. And I like little pixel awards, sort of as a souvenir for the holiday. But seriously, how can they build pressure?

I think that he means to live up to the award, which is ridiculous. Some of them aren't even "awards", they're mementos.

If there being awards keeps you from being creative, or you need awards to be creative, you just need to punch yourself in the penis right now and get crackin', because you care way too much.

Not to call you out on that, it's just everyone seems to really give a shit about awards and I think they should be like "Oh look remember that collab that was fun" and nothing more.

It's not the award that gets in the way, it's a reward of any kind. Paper money would do just as well. It shifts the focus in my head from it being about making flash with some fellers, even if I know better.
