I can't believe I forgot to add these things.

Added Crysis series and Metroid Prime series to shooters. Also, I added Metroid series, God of War series and Zelda series to Action Adventure.

Shooter - Metroid Prime (2 being a close second)
Survival/Horror - Resident Evil 2 (I played it when I was 10, scared the ever loving shit out of me, fuck those Lickers and the dogs man)
Platformer - Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, Banjo Tooie, or Super Mario World
Adventure - Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
Turn based Strategy - Fire Emblem 7 (you don't want to know how many times I've beaten this game)
Racing - Mario Kart 64
Sports - NBA Jam for the genesis
RPG/Action RPG - Mother 3
Fighting - Guilty Gear (Faust fucking rules) I'd say Super Smash Bros but people get bitchy when you call it a fighting game
Rythm/Music - Parappa the Rapper
Simulation - Sim City for the SNES
