i mean it's possible it could be a whole lot of different things. an exile from time shenanigans, a horrorterror asshole of some sort (actually no motivation there, dumb theory). or quite possibly a troll. i mean outside of the main 12 there really hasn't been much focus on any other trolls, save for their ancestors which pretty much died out.

EXEEEEEEEECPT the possibility of the troll empress (and feferi's ancestor I guess). if lifespan for the highest of bloods is still a thing that didn't stop happening or anything, it's very possible the empress alive at the time of hivebent was her ancestor. and seeing how the vast glub doesn't kill people who share the blood with that of the lusus horror terror then she survived it.

which makes finding the box of fruit troll-ups in alterniabound all the more hilarious.

makes me recall a fan theory I'd heard not sure if it was here and too lazy to check
but the idea is that with the reset, the way the conditions of the game change is the locations of the paradox clone meteors (or possibly the paradox cloning itself) are switched around, and the kids and guardians would be raised under different circumstances. the running theory was that John would be raised by Grampa Harley, and that he, through some twist of plot contrivance, was Jade's penpal/grandson.

if that fan theory ended up being right, we could also see one of these alternate possibilities with Grampa and Nanna

i kind of figured that the reset conditions would have the guardians playing the game rather than the kids. hence, the kids would be the new guardians, and jade could actually be the penpal's grandma.

also they refer to betty crocker as a WITCH plenty of times hmmmm.
