Quote from: SageClock;1781024Yep. In fact I'm considering making the game open-source (or open-source for the CC at least), so other people can improve the game if they feel like it; although I should probably get permission from the people who contributed first. I'm not sure I want to reveal how much of a complete mess the code for that game was to the outside world, though. But I also know I'm not too likely to ever do anything with it again myself, and some people in the CC might find it useful. Still haven't decided, though.

Also if you want to be added to the credits on Newgrounds for that submission, let me know. I don't feel as strict about it anymore, especially now that it includes roles.
You should release it open-source, yeah!! It'd be nice to see your coding

And sure, I suppose being part of the credits would be nice

SageClock

It's pretty bad. I used short variable names that probably only make sense to me because Flash didn't (and still doesn't really) have auto-completion and I hated typing long variables out each time I needed to use them. Plus almost all the code was written in a span of 3 weeks (very dense weeks, but still only about 3 weeks), so it's pretty sloppy, and there's no real structure. So I'm hesitant because I don't want potential employers possibly running into it and judging my coding abilities in a corporate setting based on the only code I would have released publically that I did in a "just get the damn thing done as quick as possible" fashion.

Although to be fair, I was a decent programmer then so it'd probably be useful for some people; it's just messsssssy.

Quote from: Katy Perry;1781004Anybody remember the CC gangs back in the day?  There was the Colombian Cartel, the Triad and something else...

I remember I was part of the Triad.

Also:

Quote from: Katy Perry;1781006I think it might have been.  It was the something Mafia definitely.  All I remember was this was back when you could role-play on the CC forums and not get banished to the twelfth layer of hell for it.  In fact, most people would join in.

I think it's hilarious that many of our founders were goofy 14 year olds who would probably be banned if they joined today.

The ironic truth.

Quote from: CadillacClock;1781055Prior to VirusClock deleting what he fancied, we had a role-playing forum in the Spam Forum. Albeit, but nevertheless, one which was primarily used for setting up IRC D&D matches on later dates. The Spam forum still serves as a vehicle for such threads.

I don't mind roleplaying as long as it's competant storytelling and not "*kills u*".

Although those were the times when the best movies were made.

competent storytelling is nerdier.

Quote from: KarkasmolenKlok;1781243I'm so nerdy a dwarven rabbi gave me my circumcision with a vorpal codpiece.

Naturally it needed no plus to hit, considering the size category penalty to my AC.

Pretty much any old CC stuff I have is no older than 2005, but I'll look up some shiz later.

Some of the first stuff I posted on .net version 2:

Trying to get people excited for Clock Day 05

Short-lived catchphrase.

This was a thing with me and bluebeet, I think.

When .net was run by MagicClock, Banana said he'd buy the site off him. I wasn't sure he was joking.

See above

Biggest honor in my life.

Clock Day 06 Newgrounds front page
P-Bot's huge Clock Day 06 post
The Portal on CD 06

God, 2005 and 2006 were awesome Clock Days.

No screenshots from 2005 unfortunately, other than one I took when Lord of the clocks was #2 in the top 50.

I remember all the parodies of this avatar, good times, good times.

Soup Clock

Any older members have one of those Less Than Jake sigs?  I forget who started it (was it Plum or Milk or Watermellon or something?), but I think it may have been the CC's first copy+paste-your-fla sig trend.

Here's when we got Lucky Ladybug up to the Newgrounds #1 spot

This is my favorite heavy_metal post

ShastaClock

Dingleberry clock has a ton of old CC stuff. I'll ask him to post it next time I talk to him.

VCRClock

I saved the F-Krew forum index from when we hacked it in 2005, but I can't host it anywhere because there isn't a single image on it that doesn't contain balls.
<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew
