I am moving away forever from my home town for a year

Welp, tomorrow's the last day I spend in Sunny Scunny, hopefully it's gonna end in a bang. I have never moved houses before and the longest I've spent away from my parents is one or two weeks. Gonna have to look after myself, washing up dishes, washing clothes, doing up my own velcro shoes by myself, etc...

The main thing is that I'm not going to see any of my friends again, at least until Christmas when I come back for like two weeks. I'm just worried that I'm gonna be less of a friend to them since I won't see them for so long, plus I'm gonna miss all the little fuckers. I should be going on holiday with my closest friends some time though and I will see them every now and again, but 200 miles is a pretty hefty friend barrier.

Gonna have to make new friends, meet new dealers, find new things to do. Kent is a bigger place so I imagine there's gonna be a whole lot of fun shit to do there. There's a munch there as well, I could maybe finally get in on the whole BDSM scene and shit, hopefully it's not full of 40 years olds or fat people.

I think I'm gonna have a fun time. My parents are giving me money for rent and food so all I need to earn is money for going out and really high resolution monitors, and maybe a cheap, chinese, extremely dangerous, 200MW laser pointer which burns and blinds people, I'm gonna have fun popping young children's balloons and making people believe there is a sniper aiming at them.

The bad part is I'm gonna have to do a shit load of work. The Uni I'm going to has already given me two assignments before I even go, plus I got my own web design/art/poop business going on, I've been making some money with that. College was slack as fuck, sometimes waking up at like 12 to go in for a single lesson and shit like that, whereas here it's 9 till 5, Monday till Thursday, which isn't so bad, that's only half the week.

I feel ready for this though. Two years ago I was a shy, autistic-like, 15.5 stone boy with no social skills. Now I've lost like 5 stone and I am much more sociable, I blame the weed for that.

So anyone else have much experience with moving around, moving out or other life-changing experiences? Please share with me your life stories for I am very interested, particularly if you have any advice to stop me repeating any common mistakes, like accidentally committing treason or something.

Don't fret, you may feel homesick the first month or so, but after that, you'll start meeting new folks and you'll find yourself enjoying your new freedom.  Plus, you can always visit your parents every now and then if the homesickness hits hard.
