He offered to give me 1 on 1 Flash lessons.  I probably should have accepted the offer in retrospect.

the only time I spoke to synj... uh, not in person, but on the internet, was when we got illwillpress a turd of the week. wade and dan butted heads pretty badly, and dan stopped by bio's .net for a bit afterwards.

one of the resulting conversations is the reason I own the animator's survival kit. 6 years and I still haven't put it to proper use.

It's an absurdly good book though

yeah I got it in 2008, a week before meeting him actually. it also helped me to really decide omn what I wanted to major (i.e. not animation)

yea, when he was still making goofy movies and alien hominid was still a newgrounds favorite, he tried to teach me how to get away from motion tweening and get into his style of frame by frame. which is also why i dont touch the line or shape mode on flash, only the pencil ink and paint brush.

i wish in retrospect i wouldve taken him more serious because of his success as an animator and designer.
