I'm looking for a decent ds adventure type game but not one thats too easy or too short. can some of you recommend me some games?

WrenchClock

Scribblenauts and Pokemon are good. Then again, those are the only games i've got on DS.

I don't see any reason not to start with the first one.

Professor Layton if you like puzzles. First one is definitely the best in terms of puzzle quality. Second one doesn't have enough logic puzzles for me.

If you have never played Chrono Trigger, you should definitely get it. The story is pretty cool and the cutscenes are awesome. The battle system they use makes it a level up game that is actually not boring.

But I suggest you look into one of these babies, along with the 2nd slot GBA cart so you can play GBA games as well:

Don't get R4, this one is better quality and won't break.

I have the original DS :cool::cool:
yeah I'm really hanging towards chrono trigger now and the first prof layton

I am the resident Phoenix Wright guy, Slurpee, shame on you for forgetting.

I would highly highly recommend the first phoenix wright game, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, just to start. It's definitely a fantastic game with a great story and a great gameplay design. It's all like an interactive mystery novel.

The first and second PL games were pretty good too. My only complaint about the Professor Layton series is that they nearly completely disjoint the puzzles from the story, unlike PW. You'll be walking around town and people will be like "This is so not a curious village, here solve my puzzle that I have for some random reason. Oh wow, you sure got the sheep and wolf across the river alright, here's some plot advancement!"

Oh, also Advance Wars: Days of Ruin is a fantastic turn based strategy game. I'd also recommend the GBA game Advance Wars 2 if you have the original DS.

Also, I would say I quite enjoyed Phantom Hourglass. It did a good job of utilizing the DS's touchscreen. I haven't played Spirit Tracks, but I've heard good enough things.

If you like RPGS at all, you have to get The World Ends With You. It is definitely a fantastic game. It uses the touch screen for combat too, and it's really innovative and enthralling. I never found myself bored, even if I was grinding. You don't need to grind, I just found the combat that much fun.

Just because I didn't like it dosn't meen others won't like it either. there was just alot of things in the game I hated. Like the boat, the fact that you only get to use an item in the dungeon you find it in.

Is this a remake from the original game? Or is it a port?

Thor

If you want a NINTENDO HARD game that'll fuck your ass and take forever to beat get Contra 4

To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

It's a port, but it also puts in some new content like animated cutscenes and whatnot.
