As soon as I saw it I was reminded of that mouse animation and lo and behold they're by the same person. Both have unique graphics and animation that looks really good. Both have shitty self-loathing stories. It's just sad to see technical skill wasted like that.

hmm there's not a whole lot of self loathing

there's some commentary on animation, art etc through provocation

it came across as quite sincere, and makes some artistic statements I enjoyed

the story reads more like a deconstruction of anomalies in people's perception and expectations of art/film/animation

might not suit you obviously, but i think there's something to be said for this post-modern-y approach

we can all agree tho that visually it's amazing what he's doing

I've been waiting months for this, watching now.

e: Just finished watching it. I really liked it.

Although I agree a lot of it reflects on the author, it isn't different from the work of any other artist. People make things based on what they know and what they've experienced. I like what he's done with it.
