Asshatclock

So I got some cooking books for my birthday last week and one had some really good looking italian recipes in it, and lasagne is kind of my speciality I thought I'd give it a try.

TAKE NOTE CLOCKCREW YOU NEED:

Chicken, a lot of chicken, because chicken is good.

Like this much

Sauce Ingredients:
Red Wine 1,5 dl
Water     1 dl
Passata   250gr
small can tomato paste
Rosemary (tiny bit)
Thyme (tiny bit)
Garlic (depends on how much you like garlic)
Bechemal sauce (I used pre-made)

Optional:
Paprika
Mushrooms
Carrots
Whatever

You cut up the chicken in tiny pieces, or big pieces, whatever you want man.

Then roast it, I usually use cooking butter but I tried olive oil this time, its probably a matter of
taste but I prefer cooking butter.
So yeah roast it, add some chicken spices if you have those.

Keep roasting it till it gets a bit brownish.

Then throw in your sauce ingredients, start with the passata, then the wine, then the water and stir till it gets thicker, it should get fairly thick, but still liquid.
Then add the spices and stir some more.

It should be thicker then this, I usually throw in a small can of tomato paste just for good measure.

Now while that shit is getting ready, you should at some point also start making a secondary sauce to top the lasagne, the béchamel sauce.
Now I just took some pre-made bechamel sauce because you will seriously make a lot of mess when you start messing with flower and stuff so I advice you to do the same, its not like it will get THAT much better if you make it yourself.

Now it is time to start layering, you should have a casserole of some sort, grease it and throw in some of your chicken+sauce, after that, add the lasagne layers, then some more chicken+sauce, some more layers, you know the drill.

Use the Bechamel sauce to top it, you can also add some vegetables, the cooking book recipe says carrots but that didn't really seem like a good idea to me, also mushrooms, cheese and paprika are a nice add. (I heard mozarella is good on this kind of thing)

After youre done, stuff it in your oven for 30 to 40 minutes and youre good to go.

As with most italian food: it tastes a lot better then it looks.

Tip: get a girl to clean up the godawfull mess you just made.
