There seems to be a recurring theme of clock crew admins going mad with power and then being ousted by force. I hope this doesn't happen again.

I hope all the de-admined folks don't leave because of this, I'd hate to never see a new Dwarfinator Clock movie again.

Why would I leave because of this? I've been an active member since the day I joined.

I don't even mind being deadminned, however saying "The current administration team will be relieved, with the ClockCrewââ,¬â,,¢s gratitude for their invaluable services and contributions to the community." and then calling it Bastille Day don't match. It's kind of insulting really and I would expected different from Pineapple.

I think a lot of folks are expecting indignation over this business to be a big bitter tantrum storming out estrangement sort of thing like it has been for some other people.

Whereas I expect us to go "fuckin' politics man" and get on with clockday.

i can't speak for roel but i can speak for myself and i really don't care either way.  i've been very hands off the last couple of years anyway, so whatever floats everyone's boat is fine.  it's regrettable that i'm gonna get lumped in with some people's opinions on certain people in the whole mess when i've actually been as apathetic as possible about it all, but so be it.  maybe the apathy was the bigger problem anyway.

i will say this: frankly, as both a well-adjusted human being and a political science major, everyone's haste to literally equate this sort of thing to an actual revolution (e.g. - american, french) is insulting and offensive.  either everyone is so self-aware that they're capable of absolute ironic hyperbole w/r/t all this or they're... not, and they just sound like pompous jerks.  methinks it's not the former.  there are degrees of oppression, sure, and people are free to draw whatever parallels they wish, but i'd suggest we try to temper it a bit so as to not look like crazy people.

also corposegrinder just to try and mend these fractured relationships here and not dismiss you completely, i considered your position in my head while typing my post out and it's entirely legitimate, i just disagree.  just don't think i'm lacking the same self-awareness i insisted on being absent in everyone else.

i think most people can take away my primary point just fine, but my more cryptic auxillary point was that it's all up to the interpretation.  some people are offended by the word "faggot" while others aren't; this isn't too dissimilar a situation.

for what it's worth, i'm excited, too.  but only if activity spikes and maintains itself.
