I just mean, with all of the people who have gotten used to Minecraft's graphics as they are, and the merchandise/cartoons/costumes etc. based off of them, there would have been an uproar if they'd tried to update them to something else for the "final" release. Better to just let people use graphical mods to change it if they want to.

The main difference of that is that Hitler is directly responsible for the deaths of millions of people and for the attempted extermination of a race.

Notch made a video game.

And even if you take that comparison out, people are still complaining about Notch who made a video game that they all play and probably have played for a long time (although I can't say I know that for sure but if they take them seriously as a video game related group, even if its satire, they've probably been playing Minecraft for a while.  I mean, hell, Skyrim just came out and according to the teaser in that video, they're reviewing that next.  Why wouldn't they be as current when Minecraft exploded and was ten dollars?

I'm getting off point.  That's a dumb comparison.

Also everything people have said about Notch is so downright dastardly sounding, it makes me question whether each one is true, although I do know for a fact that some of them are.

But if they're doing a "serious" review about Minecraft then why does Minecon or what Notch said on Twitter or how he bitched out Yogscast factor into the review at all?  If they were attempting to be as objective as their review says and people are believing then wouldn't they focus on the game and not the drama involved in making the game?

I have to agree with that reviewer's argument that there is little depth in any of the new added features. Everything since beta just expands the breadth, but the core gameplay is the same. In the end it comes down to whether you like that or not, but to me it just got boring and unrewarding pretty quickly.
