I just got a new PS3 and hi-def TV, and I'm wondering what are some movies I should get to take advantage of the PS3's Blu-ray capability? So far, I've got the Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 Double-Pack, the Avatar extended edition, Dark City Director's Cut (bought during my local Blockbuster's closing sale), and Ocean's Thirteen. Other movies I've thought of getting are L.A. Confidential, WALL-E, and The Secret of Kells. Any other ideas?

The Rocky Horrow Picture Show has really great sound, and the picture is good as well. The Dark Knight. WALL-E and UP are gorgeous. Planet Earth, if you like that kind of thing, is beautiful and fascinating. The Fall is unique, endearing, and visually satisfying. Iron Man looked really good. The Nightmare Before Christmas was surprisingly crisp. The Toy Story trilogy. Watchmen. The Wizard of Oz was handled very well.

That was another movie that crossed my mind, mainly for the same reason Secret of Kells and Mirrormask did, as well. It's so goddamned gorgeous, it begs to be seen in high-def.

Oh, Dogma was another one I was thinking about as well, not because it would be especially spectacular in high-definition, but because I think the movie's hilarious. Airplane was recently put out on Blu-ray, as well.

Also, whenever the Indiana Jones series comes out on Blu-ray, I'll be all over that.
