Entertainment / Brief reviews of movies you saw recently
November 02, 2010, 02:11:04 AM
Jack-Ass 3D: 8/10
As rob was mentioning, Beavis and Butthead are back which is effing awesome (PLEASE MIKE JUDGE DO SOME FORM OF REVIVAL). Its a great movie with some great stunts, but it will make you wanna vomit. Mostly at the sweat cocktail. And the poo volcano. You should go watch it if your a guy. I really liked the opening credits when Johnny and the gang walked in with their costumes. They used slow motion and 3d really effectively in the trailer
Social Network: 9.5/10
REALLY good movie. Great cinematography, acting, and script. Mark Zuckerburg was an awesome asshole thanks to Jesse Eisenberg. Justin Timberlake did a brilliant job of being the coked-up Napster co-creator. Everything was great. High reccomendations.
Rocky Horror Picture Show: 9/10
By the way, fuck Glee.
Its amusing. Its got catchy music. If you like musicals, than watch it. If you like laughing, watch it. If you dont like transvestites, dont watch it.
Willy Wonka (original): 9/10
Havent watched it in YEARS and coming back made me feel so great. Its a world of pure imagination.

Quote from: Miracle;1790503getting this just because you get a battlefield 3 beta invitation

main reason i was interested.
I honestly dont think its a COMPLETE ripoff of call of duty... in terms of gameplay its got some CoD and Bad Company stuff in it. I think its adequate. I dont care about the campaign.

In a some of the movie, he's weearing a wedding band in the supposedly "reality" scenes and in the end, so does that mean the ending is reality? maybe im reading into things way too much...
and is saito really powerful enough to make a phone call to clear up cobb's name?

Entertainment / SCOTT PILGRIM TRAILER

Quote from: ScrewdriverClock;1778363That said, the movie was pretty awesome, I loved how it had a great dash of humor mixed in with a pretty strong plot. Having not read the books I can say the story built itself well enough through the movie to stand on its own. Sure, it was outrageously fast paced but that sort of worked for this movie, what with all the action and stuff they put in. I liked the end, which may annoy some of the "true fans" but while it started to become an action flick, the deal with Giddeon was pretty cool, and I liked his character for it.quote]

I consider myself a pretty big fan of the comics, but i thought the ending was fine. The only reason why it was significantly different is because they didn't have access to the final book while making the movie. The ending was very satisfying, and it did pay off

Quote from: topcatyo;1778230Not a lot of love for the movie in this thread. What did everyone else think of the movie?

people should have bought brutal legend and psychonauts. I think its good they are releasing it on xbla, cause from a financial standpoint, doublefine has a bad rep (games dont sell). its smart to make a smaller budget game for cheaper on a service where more experimental and new games show up (i.e. Limbo, Braid, Castle Crashers, etc.)

mal was such a hateful bitch.
Also, Arthur told Adrianne (or whatev her name is) that if she touched his totem it woudl essentialy void it. SO how do we know cobb's totem (actually mals) is legit?

Quote from: VuvuzelaClock;1778198I think the fact of the movie being a movie is really a dream. Think of it, its the only way they can make such a kickass movie with a low budget. They Incepted the movie into our dreams.
What was the budget?
And nice one :)
