Before the wobble came into prominence and the Americans completely jacked it, and turned it into 140 bpm DnB (What's commonly called Filthstep/ Brostep: Skrillex, Boregore, Excision, Datsik, Funtcase, Cookie Monstah, Doctor P, etc.): while I like a lot of it, especially the really screechy metallic wobbles/ machine noise/ robot sex stuff (Case in point Doctor P's "Big Boss")

 it's really generic, template-based, as any highly codified scene is. Especially since they're usually half a song repeated twice with a drop in between: no real progression or changes. Especially since the North American dubstep scene is so insular and based around an almost obsessive worship of wobbles.

last night I discovered so much djent. my favourite so far, besides Animals as Leaders and Cloudkicker? The Algorithm. Mathy, glitchy, djent with fucking blast beats and a dubstep break (brostep/ filthstep to be precise) another one of his tracks just turns into a house song. It's wild.
