Music, even if the gameplay is amazing, the music is one of the most important legs in making a classic, it sooths you in the hardest levels and also inspirates you to keep on.

I'll probably never forget the soundtrack to the first three sonic games and Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. You wouldn't believe how much trouble I went through to find the mp3s of the SA themesongs.
But my favorite game music, is Fire Emblem (the first gba one in america). It has the best music of any handheld game I can think of.
