I'm pretty sure it went like this. Games-Workshop told Blizzard to make a Warhammer video game and so Blizzard obliged. GW then decided they didn't like it because they thought video games were just the latest hype that would disapear in a few years. So Blizzard dubbed their game Warcraft and messed around with the lore and units a bit and made milions.

Atleast I thought it went like that but hey who am I.

warhammer is really good for a video game since the whole universe is allready there and has been finetuned for years!

I USED to collect these as for the painting bit but didn't paint enough to play the game. They were really expensive too.

While Warhammer Online seems like a game as crappy and generic as World of Warcraft but with far more original design, Age of Conan looks like a game much better than World of Warcraft but with equally crappy, generic design.

If someone could just figure out how to make a good game with interesting design we'd be all set!

orcs = fantasy orcs

it's so you don't get them mixed up, because they exist in both versions of warhammer

yeah, they're aliens

in fantasy they use very primitive technology like bow and arrows and such

but in 40k they use a variety of guns and and all sorts of mechanical technology
