I'm not doing poorly right now, partially because I bootstrapped a small alliance to facilitate tech trading. I plan on returning any aid they send me in due time and moving over with you guys, but I'm in the meantime I like building myself without worrying about leeching off of Marlin or something.

I think this isn't working out, guys. I'm going to disband the KotP, we just aren't big enough, we're going to get picked off. Find strong alliances and try to get in, that'd be your best bet.
