i'm going in for what i guess is dental surgery in like 2 weeks. there is a cist on the inside of my face on a mucus gland or something and the guy who is fixing it for me is a dental surgeon and they found it last time i went to the dentist so i guess it's dental even though it has nothing to do with my teeth.

I had to get four teeth pulled about six years ago and I had to get the very back of my gums burnt away so like my wisdom teeth had room a year or two ago. But the most painful shitty experience was wearing braces for three years :'(.

I went in to get my four wisdom teeth out. I didn't get any crazy psychedelic dreams. I was given gas and woke up a few hours later with these funny filaments that were the end-product of suturing the holes in my gums and went home a little dizzy, went on the couch, spit out some stuff, and slept for a few more hours.

Then the next three days I got all the sherbert I wanted and just sat around watching T.V./playing FF12, which I hadn't done in a while. I then lost interest because I hit a level wall and didn't want to level up when I thought I was for a long time before getting there.

A piece of bone was removed from my hip and was placed into my upper jaw because the bone that was up there was non-existent. I went home that day with a codeine drip placed directly into my hip. I was drugged to the point where I couldn't feel a good majority of my body. As soon as I got home I fell asleep. My next memory is 1 week later and I'm sitting in my living room and I've just gotten to the last boss in Kingdom Hearts. I'm able to walk and eat actual food like 2 weeks later

I had to get 4 surgeries sequentially before having my brackets in 2004 (I already have them out since 2006), I had a freaking messed out mouth but I guess its all clear now. Unfortunately I am not so frequented to brush my teeth as I did with them.

The only benefits I have of my father being a dentist is that the consult is free, however I hate anesthesia, I hate when I am drowning in my own saliva and other chemicals slushed in my mouth, I hate the excess of fluorine, the point I can t feel my fucking face all day long and such.

Are you sure he's not an oral surgeon, because that's what those guys are called.

I had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out last December. They didn't give me laughing gas. Instead, they injected me some sedatives through vein and put some funny-tasting anesthesia paste around my teeth. By the time the they began working, my eyes were already closed, but I still could hear them talking. I think I even remember laughing a little at something they were talking about, and the dentist thought I was just laughing at myself. The surgery felt pretty quick and practically didn't hurt at all (although I did feel a little pain when they removed my lower-left tooth).

But besides my tongue feeling like I had a big cotton ball on my mouth thanks to that paste and some typical pain (especially on the lower-left where it hurt me during surgery), I felt practically normal after it.

I will be getting wisdom teeth out this year or next. Woo hoo.

all i had were braces from grade 9 to a few weeks before grade 12. no teeth had to be pulled and i have 3 out of 4 wisdom teeth out with the last one on the way. my mouth > yours

I had laughing gas and whenever I felt severe pain I just laughed my ass off so they had no idea I could feel it :3
