A flea market is I guess the closest thing to the marketplace here, but it's all people's used knick-knacks, books, and records, not any one person actually making some sort of stock to sell. Then there are stall-based art festivals. Other than that any stall vending is done in isolation, out of a taco shack or something.

I buy stuff at markets, especially car-boot style ones, but from the more permanent stalls the shirts are always tasteless and badly printed. I'm thinking those black hoodies with gaudy grim reaper designs all over them, Grand Theft Auto-cover style designs, Green Day shirts etc.
