I recently started playing this game and man do I have so many problems with it, which I must tell you.

The cut scenes last four hours and the storyline is terrible
during the parts where you play desmond, you are so godamn slow

you can't move faster than a very slow walk anywhere in the game without being attacked by guards for being suspicious. There's no point being able to climb the walls coz as soon as a guard see's you, and there are loads, you get everyone attacking you.

well, you might ask, why not engage them in battle.

because the fighting system is terrible. There's a lot of emphasis on timing on your part but it doesnt matter because your opponent will just beat the crap out of you before you can even remember how and when to counter attack. This is worse when there is more than one opponent. Try holding X to perform a strong attack when you've got 6 people slashing your back. and the lock-on system is crap, constantly unlocking and locking back on to other enemies for no reason

This is annoying when quite early on in the game, you have to kill 8 or so ninja blokes, so you can chase your target across the city, being attacked for four hundred city guards. when you inevitably die, you have to do it all again.

On top of all of this, the game play is really really really really repetitive.

It's all a shame really, because if you get the chance between 6 hour cutscenes about genetic memory and being attack by countless people who hate you for riding a horse, it's really fun to jump like a freak about brilliant city's like Jerusalem

Assasins creed is a joke of a game.

Anyone with any sort of taste knows this.

I really loved the plot. the gameplay was awsome but the fighting... yeah that was lacking
still I cant wait for the squel

Don't forget the graphical flaws!  I remember watching the cutscene where Altair kills the first major bad guy, there were no blood stains on his clothes where he stabbed him, and the blood effects were simple blurry gradients that tweened and faded out of his body.

It's also really laggy on the PS3 version, but they may have patched that.

I really, really liked it. Alot.

I don't understand why people hate this game. I found the story quite intriguing, except from the fucked up ending. The gameplay is awesome, i never get sick of jumping and running everywhere and killing everything.

And how can you die man? It's impossible to die! You just have to constantly time your attacks and counters and nobody will ever touch you. You're like a walking slaughterhouse.

what amazed me in AC is the genius of the graphic. The blood on the cutscenes was amazingly realistic, and shadows acted so real.

I really did I think it was awesome even though it was repetitive
The story is really cool and I cant wait for Creed 2
Also I lost my save and i want to get the flags so I think im going to finish it again sometime soon

EDIT: You're supposed to use the small blade when you're fighting like 6 people or whatever

lol?  When I watched it, Altair's sword was just clipping through his torso with no effects at all.

It's great to run around rooftops but you have to learn how to perform a running assassination with your tiny knife and also use the throwing knives a lot because they are awesome

Oh also saying the ending sucked is a pretty stupid thing to do. It was announced long before it came out that it would be a trilogy so you really couldn't have expected much of a real ending. Sure, it was the biggest "oh.... ohhhhhh.... OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... haha fuck you buy the sequel" kind of ending since Halo 2, but it was a justified and well done one.

didn't buy it. brother borrowed it from a friend, so I win. also I only heard good things about it but I didn't look too far.
