C & C please!
I find the balance quite good but im not sure about the lady on the chair and stuff.

LeekClock

Crap-attack, I just typed a big c&c then acidentally clicked "back" and lost it.

In summary:

The background is hectic and uncoordinated in a way which detracts from the image as a whole. The dark shapes (skulls?) that form the abstract patterns in the background stick out too much and clash with the other elements. You could fade those into the background more or remove them altogether.

If it were me I would probably just make the entire background one block of colour, to compliment the graphic qualities of the other elements in the picture and to lend the foreground more impact by way of contrast. But just unifying the colour palette of the background with that of the foreground (the reds of the background don't seem to match the orangey skin tones of the photographic elements in the foreground) and simplifying things would be good.

You've overlayed textures on the nice crisp white skulls. That seems a bit debaucherous to me!

That you've faded the edges of the photographic elements seems lazy to me. And it adds further confusion to the collection of contrasting styles you have going on: Most of the edges in the rest of the image are crisp and clean.

And a small note on the bombs... It would make more sense if the highlights of the to three or four were on the bottom, not on the top, since the light source seems to be in the centre of the image.

Leave the chair, but not the lady.

Yes, Now i look back the pic if far to hectic. Ill see for a way to make that balanced while preserving the emphasis on the chaos of war.
I think ill keep the bombs like this and see how i can center the focus on the skull/head without the white lines comming from it. And yeah, i got lazy on the pic :p

Thanks for the critique, now i can continue with this

Being hectic and uncoordinated isn't always a bad thing, you just have to make it appealing. War itself is hectic and (well, maybe not uncoordinated per say, but certainly organized chaos), so you may want to capture that as a theme. Generally simple is king, but don't let that rule compromise artistic vision.

by the way, I'd hit that :U
