I remember always wanting a B.C rich back when I was a huge metalhead, but thank god I didn't because now I have more experience, and I know I would've made a mistake.

Bolt-on neck, I guess for a guitar of it's price thats pretty standard, although for a little bit more you could've gotten a guitar with a glued-on (set) neck, which ultimately adds much more sustain. BCR pickups, I'm guessing those are 'BC rich' pickups. Those really sound terrible. I actually have one in my drawer and I don't think it deserves to be on any of my guitars, it seems to have been very poorly wounded and creates alot of unnessecary gain (but not the good type of gain, the bad interference).

Alot of people purchase B.C rich because they have a sick shape and they seem to be getting alot of praise on the sites where they are sold. Thing is, it's 13 year olds with huge metalhead ego's that often leave their mark. If you ask an experienced luthier, he may even laugh.

Anyways, just saying that if I were you, I'd return it, save a bit more and get a new guitar with a more solid construction. You'll end up getting rid of this one in a few years anyways, believe me.

The body is made out of basswood, and the fingerboard out of rosewood. The rosewood fingerboard is okay, because that's common on guitars of that price, but the basswood body just leaves to be desired. It's a very soft wood that dampens alot the sound of your highs and may leave too much room for the lows.

edit: the picture I posted isn't actually mine, mine is the same color but with a discoloration on the bottom left and has a maple fretboard as well as gold pickups.

its a great guitar, gold pickups and everything. It sounds pure and  whatnot. I spend most of my time on it ahah. I'm like, a giant jimi hendrix freak and I had wanted his woodstock one, but like, I said fuck it it was way too much.
