haha where did you read that? master chief lovers magazine.  Halo 3 is shit and it's multiplayer is horrid. CoD 4 on the other hand has an amazing single player and by far the best FPS Multiplayer till this day.

I played 1,2 and 3.  along with all the Cod games. Also played all Valve created fps games and the games of franchises like: Moh , Fear, Unreal, Quake, Duke Nukem, Rainbow Six, Battlefield, Wolvenstein, Doom, Far Cry, Crysis etc  Ive played CS 1.6 and CS Source online for years. UT3 is pretty awesome.


In my opinion though, Valve's Source games and Far Cry 2 are the best shooters to date. I like Day of Defeat: Source's multiplayer better than COD4's multiplayer, especially with how much the game has changed over the years.

COD4 is great and all, but its multiplayer seems to copy DoD:S with better graphics and less strategy and teamwork.

Meh from what I have seen I will wait till it hits the bargin bin, I am not a fan of WWI or WWII games they always seem ....crap, I want a big gun with loads of bullets.

Also looks like Infinity Ward are pissed at Treyarch.

i played this at a friend and i actually like it alot.
Im more of a ww2 fan myself, so that kinda counts. but im still not sure why people think this is a worse game. It's a different game by a different developer and should be judged like a different game. In it's own right it dous copy a lot of feautures from previous version of call of duty but those features are cool so i see no problem there.

Im not judging this game on it's atmosphere or setting (although i have to admit i liked cod4 better in that department aswell)  it's just something in the gameplay that's lacking.. i can't really explain it.

i prefer WW2 weapons to modern weapons. too many automatics in modern, not enough variety.

so cod5, for me, is better than cod4. but then again i think halo 3 is still better than both of them (albeit not by much), so my opinion doesn't count anyway.
