Did you get to the end yet? I love when Odysseus, his son, and his father go out and fucking kill all those dudes.

It was really entertaining. If you liked The Odyssey, I suggest you read Beowulf. It is another epic poem about and ancient warrior kicking ass.

Maltese

read the Aeneid, and the Iliad, and the Argonautica

SnakeClock

Ulysses is the Latin name for Odysseus. People use the Greek name because "The Ulyssey" sounds stupid.

I should read it someday instead of just seeing the movie. :p

...In Old English.

The version I read had both English and old-English side by side. Old English is weird, because it looks familiar, but at the same time is pretty much a completely different language.

I think Leek has said he read in in old English.

Also Beowulf swam a race for like 5 days in full gear. Bad ass motherfucker.

Maltese

Well Orpheus is better than both of them!

he... uh... was a really good singer?

ChimeClock

awesome awesome trip there

I have it easier because it's pretty similar to Old Norse. Still a lot of unfamiliar words. Middle English is easiest.

Which was why he killed the maids too.
