I like the first plot more than the second, Disco. I don't see it as a Caesar archetype, and it would be funny to see what convoluted explanations you give to say why the seemingly hopeless enterprise succeeds or doesn't.

The second one's been done a lot, though; an isolated yet happy individual or race finds out about the outside world, gets insatiably curious, and inevitably snaps from it. Ever read Life, the Universe and Everything?

I see, thanks for the input. You see, I want to think outside of the box and make something new, as my creative thinking suffers from great unoriginality. This also means I have to give the "details" of the plot itself a twist so I don't fall in clichéness.
